Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Bitdefender GravityZone as our primary antivirus software for our entire network.

Pros and Cons

Bitdefender uses far fewer resources on the client computers than several other antivirus programs I have used.
The web portal is pretty easy to use and gives a good amount of information in regards to the health of the computers.

There are periodically times which Windows thinks no antivirus or firewall is active on a computer, even when Bitdefender is there.

Return on Investment

Bitdefender discovered dozens of issues when I first installed in on all of the computers on the network and it has caught/prevented quite a few more, but in two years there haven't been any issues which were found to actually have been impacting any of the computers (I have also periodically run scans with other software which also have not found anything).

Alternatives Considered

I have used TrendMicro, AVG, Avira, Avast, Malwarebytes, Viper, and I'm sure a few other similar programs, and from my experience, Bitdefender has been one of the easiest to use and most effective.

Bitdefender has done a great job when I needed support for their software but had a bit of a mess when trying to renew. I'm not certain if the ball got dropped with the reseller or Bitdefender, but it took multiple phone calls and emails to both in order to get everything straightened out.

Bitdefender GravityZone is well suited for businesses which want to have an easy to use web-based interface.

I'm not sure if highly regulated companies (medical practices, government, etc.) would be able to use the standard setup of Bitdefender GravityZone.

Bitdefender GravityZone pulled me in and now I'm happily stuck with it.
