Overall Satisfaction with Bitdefender GravityZone

We are using Bitdefender GravityZone for our organization's anti-virus solution. We use it on our PCs and Macs. It provides protection from malware and phishing attempts.
  • Works behind the scenes
  • Notifications are customisable
  • Can be a resource hog on Macs
  • Cannot modify Mac notifications
  • We have seen hours of lost work due to high CPU usage and kernel panics on Macs.
  • We have seen dozens of notifications where the system noticed phishing attempts.
We've definitely benefited from Bitdefender GravityZone's centralized console, as we can change the policies and push them out without having to get hands-on with each computer. It's also an easy place to see what Bitdefender GravityZone is finding on user machines, allowing us to see if there's anything we can do to prevent further events.
When it comes down to it, I feel that both Bitdefender GravityZone and Sophos achieve the same results, and that's what really matters. My personal opinion is that Sophos provides a much more robust console that makes a lot more sense when navigating. I've often gotten so lost in the Bitdefender GravityZone console that I've become upset.
Service is mediocre. I don't have any reason to be strongly for or against it. I will have to say that their post-support emails get to be too much. Yes, I could just reply and have them closed, but 6 reminders are a bit much.

Do you think Bitdefender GravityZone delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Bitdefender GravityZone's feature set?

No

Did Bitdefender GravityZone live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Bitdefender GravityZone go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Bitdefender GravityZone again?

No

Bitdefender GravityZone is definitely a Windows-centric system, and the web UI doesn't make a whole lot of sense. While the system does indeed do what it needs to, it can be done better and use fewer resources. On Macs, it has become a performance-degrading hurdle for our engineers.
