Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We use it very infrequently. Currently, the only thing it is used for is to process monthly donations that were set up on it. This was done because my predecessors were told it would be easier than processing them through database view. However, when these gifts are renewed or changed, we are putting them back on database view.
  • I am told it's a great tool for solicitors, but we don't use it.
  • We are unable to run reports correctly through it
  • I don't like the search function - it is limited
  • Approving monthly gift batches is clumsy
  • Difficult to find specific gifts in donor's records
  • Really none of the features. Will eventually completely transition out of it.

I cannot give any specific scenarios because of my limited experience with what Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is well-suited. However, I would NOT want to use it for gift batch entry. A database view is GREAT - works well for my job responsibilities. Seems Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT would be good for solicitors or gift officers.
