Highly Recommend. It's the best product I've used.
Having a section in the fundraiser work center titled "Needs attention" with a recommendation listed below each constituent helps our fundraisers plan out who needs to be contacted and who's at the top of the priorities list. Having the "Add action" button in the exact same place, as well as the contact information makes follow-up easy. You don't have to click somewhere to get what you need. It's right there.

User-friendly software for fundraisers
I'm far less into analytics than some of my colleagues, but having conversations with them, I do see the benefit of having information literally "at our fingertips." It allows me to organize my information and workload to make it more manageable, especially because I have split duties (gift entry and fundraising), which are not always compatible and/or can be difficult to manage if I don't have a product that helps me organize and prioritize.
Blackbaud Raiser's Ede contains target analytics to see insights into prospects, wealth management, capacity, propensity, etc.

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT allows us to more effectively track information such as giving history to allow us to cater our fundraising efforts to specific donor preferences. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT makes it easy to see this information which helps us to determine quickly how to interact with each of our donors/constituents.

Great CRM but not 100% there yet
I do not personally use the prospect and wealth research tools but our Advancement Strategy Director does and finds them to be more complete and accurate than our old ones. We currently use Research Point and Blackbaud wealth ratings to research constituent wealth. RE has made it viable for us to update these figures annually.
At present, we do not use the analytics or data intelligence. I can see how it would be beneficial to a larger organization, or to a larger Development team looking to expand its donor database.

Raiser's Edge NXT is the only product your Dev Dept needs!
We've been able to track and record appeal information efficiently, giving us insight into who is donating to what appeal- which gives the Direct Mail department accurate information to make informed decisions on the future of mailings. We've also been able to track giving of major donors in a way that helps the major gift officers keep in touch with folks who are most willing to help.
We are able to easily see our retention, lapsed donors and donors that have increased or decreased their giving. The wealth rating (stars) are a good starting point for getting an idea about a constituent's capacity for giving and we are able to add our own information to the record - including gifts the constituent has made to other organizations. When our president travels we are able to pull lists based on point on the map where is is going and see if there are constituents that he should try to see while there.

We are working towards using the data and analytics provided by Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT. At this time, we do take a look at the wealth screen to determine the gift ask for donors. As we are still learning the product, we do not use, at this time, more of the data and analytics provided by Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT.

The product that does it all!
Analytics and data intelligence are key to our area! Our advancement service folks are constantly in the system researching and updating information for the front line fundraisers to be able to use. We are able to communicate with our constituents in the way that they want to be communicated with and we have accurate information about them as well.

Raiser's Edge- Would Recommend!
Raiser's Edge allows our organization to pull reports to get a great overall picture of fundraising numbers and demographics throughout the year. It is really easy to build a report that allows tracking for various needs. For example, you can pull annual numbers for monthly givers, events, and totally giving throughout the year to best understand current fundraising numbers and trends.

The data and analytics have really played a critical role in fundraising by giving us a holistic approach to to prospective donors who will make cash donations as well as engage their employees as volunteers. This gives us a sense of those companies with strong corporate social responsibility programs and who are looking to engage. It also helps identify prospective donors and/or donors who have the capacity to increase their giving.

A fundraising CRM built for fundraisers
Tags are an especially helpful functional insight. This flags constituents who haven't been contacted in a while, have over due pledges, their birthday is coming up, or is at risk of being lost as a donor. This type of insight provides fundraisers with pointed and actionable steps to take. The workcenter is also a major asset to fundraisers because it puts all of their portfolio, gifts, pledges, opportunities, etc. all in one place. This is game-changing.

Leaves a lot to be desired. Not user friendly or intuitive! Huge time vampire for small organizations.
We are not able to use the additional insights because too much energy is spent trying to simply get the data in the system and do the most basic tasks.

I believe it has impacted our business because this year we have gone above and beyond what our goal was to raise for our community hospital. RE could be better at providing wealth screening information on constituents and make recommendations for e gay snd solicitation on a daily basis for each staff person based on assigned prospects.our major gifts and annual giving need to grow and thus level of organization and support would enable us.

Still disappointing with only a small amount of functionality that exists in RE database view!
We appreciate having analytics integrated into our NXT contract, so we get an annual refresh on wealth ratings. Our organization doesn't rely heavily on it, but it is an additional tool for us.
