Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

I use it to find information on constituents of our Foundation as well as set up recurring gifts and handle the processing of gifts received.
  • Provides quick glance of a constituents total record.
  • Allows for drill down of information as needed.
  • Provides the portal to access the Raiser's Edge database.
  • Locating constituents can be difficult. Better to search by last name only and then scroll to the name you need.
  • Not enough filters for an accurate search--would be nice to more options.
  • Can't run reports in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT with the information I need.
  • The constituent/gift list.
  • The automatic recurring gift option.
  • The ability to access a constituent's record and make notes in real-time on campus and off-campus.
  • The ability to provide gift records to constituents at year end quickly and easily.
  • Reduce the workload by having automatic recurring gift option available.
As a Financial Assistant for the Foundation, this is an area that I do not use.
  • Online Training
Unfortunately, I came in at the time that Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT was getting started and any training was to be done online and at my discretion. What training I did watch was good, but this software has changed so much, especially within the last couple of years, that my understanding of its operations remains what it was when I took the training long ago. As indicated, the majority of my time is spent in Financial Edge and F/E NXT so I haven't had an opportunity or need to sign up for further training in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT.

Yes

Where it is well suited is the ability to make a recurring gift automatic--love those features and have used them without a problem.

It is less appropriate where you are trying to search for specific parameters that are outside the given filters provided. It may catch some of the data you are searching for, but I always question if it captured everything (which I know at times it has not, especially when I run a report in the database where I have more filter options).
