Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We use the product to maintain data on donors and prospective donors. We track donor activity and capacity information, as well as engagement activity with the Membership module. The product allows our fundraisers web-based, real-time access to data regarding their portfolios. Additionally, the database is used to maintain contact reports and other updates from interactions with our donors.

The availability of the data is one reason we invested in this. The predictive modeling that is refreshed annually is very helpful. However, we've found it difficult to garner buy-in from the fundraisers on the predictive modeling thus far. The training we received when we launched the product was less than helpful.

A mid-to-large-sized organization would be well-suited to this product. It is expensive and requires the constant attention of a dedicated DBA. Running data pulls/queries are not intuitive, so a small shop would not be well suited for this product.

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Support

Blackbaud's customer service is horrible. We have to constantly reach out to peers or search Knowledgbase to get answers or help. There is no aftercare once the installation is complete. Additionally, we do not have a dedicated relationship manager. We have cycled through at least 7 of them in the 2 years we have been using RE NXT.

Slow Initial Response
We did not purchase premium support. I expect good customer support as part of the annual maintenance fees and feel strongly that Blackbaud should not charge additional fees for a standard service. furthermore, based on our experience with FE and RE 7 before we invested in RE NXT, I was not convinced we would get any service we paid extra for.
