Overall Satisfaction with Blackboard
It is being used across the entire organization to support Online Education for the the entire Organization. It also helps up organize our academics.
Pros
- It was easy for the end-user to accomplish tasks.
- It would extend to outside resources well.
Cons
- The backend software was almost unmanageable.
- Updates were poorly tested and often ended in downtime.
- Even Blackboard Managed Services has difficulity maintaining uptime.
- The cost is high and the return is low so the pay off may be many years in coming.
- Moodle, Moodlerooms and and Corcera.
The cost of entry into these other products is much lower and they offer many of the same functions.
