Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine

BlackLine is being used across the organization and it helps us to perform our monthly reconciliations, monthly checklists, and journal entries tracking.
  • BlackLine is made by accountants for accountants, so every feature is very useful.
  • Account groups is just brilliant, it makes reconciling a bunch of accounts very simple.
  • In Tasks, it would be great to have a button that can perform the task of "certify and next"
  • That's it! BlackLine continues to improve the product.
  • Matching for bank recs had the biggest impact, as it provided time savings of over 500 hours a month for a total of 30 accountants.
  • It improved our internal controls by having all accounts tracked, properly approved, all supporting documents attached, which helped to get them reconciled timely.
When we get BlackLine 6 years ago and then again after 3 years during the agreement renewal, we evaluated Oracle and Trintech and decided for BlackLine due to SAAS, easy of use, and rich features.
Definitively the strongest area in BlackLine is account reconciliations and it does a terrific job at it. This is the reason I said BlackLine is made by accountants for accountants. Each feature, function, characteristics are right on point, rich, and easy to use and learn. It is plain and simply brilliant. BlackLine provides great customer support, they are quick to reply and work hard to solve issues. Also, they continue to improve the product, add new features and stay a relevant, competent, class-leader. Not much to complain about it, some features could be better, but I have seen that over time it has become better.
