Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine
We are using Balance Reconciliation, Account Matching and Journal Entries, went live in Jun / Jul 2024. The BlackLine solution is very good, reflecting all our requirements and very intuitive and easy to use by the end users. Full integration with SAP 4 Hana•Time saved for BSO on reconciliation•Improved Accuracy•Better visualization for Management
Pros
- Project implementation with BlackLine team is going very smoothly
- Users are getting aware of the new functionalities quite well
- Our processes set up in the system
- Continuous Support from both Project and Post Go live teams
Cons
- Support from USA to Europe - should cover the CET business working hours and to be more flexible when new client has new requirements.
- We are facing serious performance issues after the go live. We should execute performance testing during implementation to try to avoid the current unpleasant situation.
- BlackLine solution is not a cheap solution, so we do not have quite good results in the Business case. Moreover, we are starting from highly automated system with implemented S/4 HANA and previous usage of Trintech Cadency solution for Balance Reconciliation.
- Long term we expect increased productivity and improved visibility.
Improved and more automated and user friendly Balance Reconciliation. Successful replacement of our SAP Shared Service Framework ticketing system with the Manual Journal Voucher module from BlackLine. Full integration with our SAP 4 Hana system, Time saved for accountants in our Shared Service Center on reconciliation activities, Improved Accuracy with the tool, Better visualization for Management.
We were convinced during our RFP, that BlackLine provide better post go live and continuous support. We are still in Hypercare period and I can say, that the implementation went quite smoothly and without big escalations. Currently we are experiencing issues in Productive system and have to wait for the USA Development team to deliver that.
