Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Tasks, Reconciliations, Matching, and FRA. It has solved a control issue around financial reporting and allowed us to save money on an external reporting software tool.

Pros and Cons

Pros

effortless integration once transformations are built
very logical flow of information and details
task management

changes/updates that effect a currently well functioning system
billing confusions with implementations/projects and how much things cost
more ability for variance to pull forecast

Return on Investment

increased efficiency in the financial reporting control
save frequent asks from IA in tasks so they aren't forgotten

Normally I would give this a 10/10. Traditionally we have gotten great support from BlackLine for all products, however changes in implementation specialists mid-project has given us someone who didn't have a hand in the set up trying to help us solve our currency problem and they don't understand the setup well enough.

Partnership

We have been able to attempt to automate various things and from my perspective, every failure we have had points to an inefficiency outside of BlackLine that needs to be dealt with and brings those to the forefront.
