Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine

We use BlackLine for our monthly reconciliation process. The product allows us to auto recon the majority of our recons plus match a large volume of our transactions.

Pros

  • Matching transactions quickly with the matching jobs

  • Job scheduling if you don't have Accounting Studio

We we open a case we have to go back and forth to many times with customer support before the fully understand what we are asking for that is because they don't read the case very well. Our Cloud concierge (Scott S.) is the only saving grace about BlackLine support. He is amazing whenever we have to call him.
Our new Account Manager does seem to be very interested in helping us to define a new roadmap for our company which I think will help us move forward in a positive direction for the future. The new products coming out this year are very exciting and can be game changers for us.
Frontier is the product that we had before going to BlackLine. There are some parts of BlackLine that don't stack up well but overall BlackLine is slowing becoming the product of the future now that is is address some of the issues that have been a problem us - again have a good account manager to help guide the way.

BlackLine is very well suited for matching and auto-certification. We are able to auto-certify the majority of our recons on a monthly basis. BlackLine could do better with customer service. Sometime the representative doesn't always read the cases before responding and you have to go back and forth before you get the results you are asking for.
