Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine
We are implementing BlackLine for Account Recons and Task Management in Phase 1. Our goal is to expedite our Account Period/Month-End Close process and reduce manual efforts. We also want to use transaction matching and the Variance Analysis tool. We would like Journal automation as well but currently it is on Roadmap.

Cons
- User Interface, needs to be intuitive and all pages needs to be consistent
- Productization of Journals
- Initial Costs are high
- We believe over a period of time it should get better
Our partnership with Blackline is great. We are still learning and figuring out how to leverage various features of Blackline and how it can complement the limitations we have in our ERP system. Blackline's optimization academy is excisting and would like to explore more on it and leverage the proven use cases as much as possible. I hope I wil find some use case for high tech
BlackLine's functionality is richer and broader. However, it is not as user-friendly as FloQast. I wish BlackLine would take on re-platforming the User Interface and Experience as a major initiative. This will enable BlackLine to explore new market segments such has High Tech and next generation of Accountants and FInance experts. This will be major uplift
