Overall Satisfaction with Bluebeam Revu

At this time, Bluebeam is being used by my entire office here in Los Angeles. We made a transition from Adobe to Bluebeam a few years ago and everyone seems to be satisfied. Not only is the pricing better than Adobe, but the program is also a lot more user friendly.
  • Able to scale drawings without having to upload drawings into our cost estimating software.
  • Able to rename drawings without having to do it manually.
  • Can screenshot areas from PDFs for email purposes (e.g. details).
  • So far I have not seen the need for any improvements, although the more user friendly the better.
  • Pricing can always be improved for my students (e.g.interns)
  • Definitely cheaper than Adobe the last time we looked at pricing.
  • PM'S/Estimators are working faster.
  • Making fewer mistakes when reviewing drawings.
  • ADOBE
As previously mentioned, there are multiple reasons why our Los Angeles construction office has left Adobe, and we all prefer Bluebeam. Firstly, it is user-friendly and has additional functionality. Secondly, the price is lower. Lastly, the company is now hosting meetings on Bluebeam.
When required to review drawings, one of the best capabilties that Bluebeam offers is the ability to layer images for drawing changes, Change orders and addenda drawings are much simpler when you don't have to manually find changes. There is less room for human error when the program color coats the changes for you.
