Overall Satisfaction with BlueJeans

BlueJeans is used as the video conferencing tool of choice by many teams in my department. I believe the company has an enterprise license, which gives us a certain amount of storage space for recorded calls and meetings. My team does our daily standup meeting each morning on BlueJeans, as well as any other meetings throughout the day. We have several team members who work remotely, so every single meeting is conducted on BlueJeans by default.
  • Fast start-up time.
  • Lightweight on resources.
  • Intuitive UI.
  • I would love to see more features around remote screen control/drawing while sharing a screen.
  • When viewing a screen share full-screen, the video pops up in a separate window and there's no way to close it, even if I don't want to see it.
  • It could be easier to re-join frequently-attended meetings, instead of needing to find the link each time.
  • It has made frequent meetings with remote team members frictionless and given us a default location for all meetings.
  • It has made the onboarding of team members easier with its ability to record meetings and play them back later.
  • The quality of the video is rarely something we have to worry about and can jump right into our meetings.
Microsoft Teams is too complicated for what we need and comes with a lot of chat features that we don't need (our organization uses Slack for that). Google Hangouts suffers from poor quality when streaming video, and is almost unusable for large meetings. Zoom is the most similar to BlueJeans out of all of these, but they recently had some poor security practices uncovered and the program itself uses more system resources. BlueJeans is by far the best out of all the video conferencing tools I've used on various teams.
It doesn't feel as "heavy" as some other video conferencing tools I have used, which is a huge plus. For collaborating over a screen share and remotely drawing on the other person's screen or typing, there are other tools that put more emphasis on those features that I prefer for those tasks.
