Overall Satisfaction with Box

Box is being used in my current & previously worked organizations as document management platform, for sharing the technical deliverables to the client by safe and secure medium. This basically businesses to share the documents in any format and by assigning the document approval work flow. So we use this platform to share documents (deliverables) to the client, with safety, speed, approval work flow and also get the notifications for the same.

Pros

  • Document sharing in any format and without almost any size limit
  • Quick, real time notifications, end to end encryption
  • Very easy to use User Interface
  • Best for sharing technical documents

Cons

  • Need more futuristic features and better UI for beginner
  • Sometimes Performance is lagging by time delay in sharing or notification emails
  • Should have more offline features for remote site usages for customer
  • Good relations with customers
  • 100% on time delivery of documents
  • Document sharing without reducing size
Due to its functionalities like End-to-end encryption, file access permissions, audit trails. Also, Easy sharing with external users via secure links. It has Built-in workflow automation with Box Relay for the tasks like approvals. This platform is designed to handle the needs of large organizations and remote teams for document sharing.

It is well suited where documents are often shared between technical writers/document controller and end clients. Or where document is generated by specific domain specific owners and needs to be reviewed from Head or Subject Matter Expert of that department, so can be shared through this platform can keep the records of all the revisions and Revision control can be effectively achieved for future uses
