Brightmine: The Legal and Employee Handbook Resource You Didn't Know You Need
Overall Satisfaction with Brightmine
We use Brightmine for all of the legal resources and information it provides on its main platform. I receive email updates to law and regulatory changes which are very helpful and I have employees in 30 states and I cannot keep track of all of that on my own. I rely on Brightmine for that information. We also use Brightmine for creation and updating of our employee handbook. Again, it helps us keep abreast of changes in the law that affect the content within our handbook.
Pros
- Keep me informed of regulatory changes
- Has great matrices on a per state basis for multiple regulatory topics, such as payment of final wages, etc.
- Provides resources such as labor law posters for updating
- Has a great handbook tool for creating and updating handbooks with well written policies that are easy to edit and customize.
Cons
- I wish it was easier to add or remove states to my license without having to go through Brightmine account people. When I have people living in multiple states and I add that state to my account, then I have to reach out to someone to remove that state when they leave.
- I find the handbook tool to be a little clumsy, but it does work well. There is just a lot going on in that portal.
- Reduced legal expenditures -- I didn't have to pay lawyers to make a handbook for me.
- First point of reference for legal questions
- Reduces our risk and ensures we make the right legal decisions.
- Easy to research and find content using the search function of the home page dashboard.
