Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack
We use BrowserStack for testing our applications on different devices. We require that the quality assurance team thoroughly checks that the new features work on all devices that our applications support which is especially helpful to check if certain layout features work on various screen sizes and do not break the existing user interface.
Pros
- A lot of different devices to choose from
- BrowserStack is very east to get up and running
- Offers multiple browsers to test on
Cons
- Sometimes devices load very slowly
- Connectivity and timeout issues
- Pricing is more on the steep side
- Device variety
- Customer support
- No downtimes
- Faster manual testing
- Less physical devices needed
- Enhanced development workflow
We always wanted to deliver the best possible software experience, but since we are all developing on desktop screens it wasn't always the easiest to get the feel for the actual native experience. Physical devices cost a lot if you want to cover them all and BrowserStack manages to replace all of them with a subscription.
- Live
- App Live
We are using BrowserStack's Live and App Live products for manual testing done by our quality assurance engineers. This eliminated the need for installing all of our supported browsers and getting physical devices with different screen sizes and allowed us to quickly test out new features and check for potential bugs all from one application.
