Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack
We use BrowserStack for a number of things (all related to QA):
* In-sprint feature testing
* Pre-release regression testing
* Automated Appium tests
* Specific device testing - tablet vs. phone, Android and iOS

Pros
- Devices initialize fast
- Robust API suite
- Feature rich
Cons
- New versions of Android SDK need to be available sooner
- New versions of iOS need to be available sooner
- Sometimes we have had devices freeze. These instances were all reported to Support though who responded in a timely manner
- Real devices
- Different OSes available
- Android and iOS
- Different form factors
- Robust APIs
- Clean UI
- Less IT overhead managing a fleet of devices
- Fast new hire ramp-up
- Easy employee offboarding
1. Not having enough device options available - we would ask employees to test with personal devices - not very professional!
2. We had no way to execute automated tests on physical devices.

- App Live
- App Automate
We have been able to replace dependency on physical devices for 95% of cases. We have also been able to automate tests on physical devices as part of our CI builds - no human interaction is needed to deploy a build, run Appium test, and collect results - a major win for us.
- AWS Device Farm
- Perfecto by Perforce
It had all of the features we needed. The user interface is clean and accessible. AWS Device Farm was clunky, slow, and hard to use AND offered very little automation options / APIs.
We really needed a solution that could become part of an automated testing pipeline and BrowserStack stood out by checking all of the boxes.
