Overall Satisfaction with Canto

Canto has been a super easy tool and vital to our organization. We are using it to help clients align and merge their assets into one location, be able to filter by really specific terms, and create custom portals for them to be able to share with their teams and the agencies they work with.

Pros

  • The software has given us the ability to break out different assets so multiple clients can view their own pages without interfering with other clients' pages or content. But it still allows our organization to see everything.
  • Canto has been a great tool to learn and fairly easy to jump right in and get the hang of. I have used Adobe AEM, and Canto is much more intuitive and easy to use.
  • Provides easy sync options with Dropbox, and their uploader helps for larger files.

Cons

  • There are some features that we've needed to have customized in each portal for our clients and even though Canto is working on that feature, we were able to find a work around in the meantime.
  • Turning on and off downloads per folder versus portal is something we'd love to see
  • This product is great. We can use it and bill our clients with minimal overhead.
  • Fits our needs.
Adobe's product is more for coders and it isn't really clear at the beginning what you can do. Canto's is laid out to be easy and intuitive. It makes it simple to view the options, shows you all the features at once, and explains to others how to use it. Their staff training is priceless. I'm sure you can get someone from Adobe to walk you through but will they respond to you in a matter of minutes, hours, or days? The Canto team really made a huge difference in getting us set up comfortably and making it easier to use.

Canto has been great to help our team see all our assets but break it down for each client to have their own location and portal without interfering with any other client's work. We have been able to brand each portal and create custom logins and groups of information so each portal and its assets have their own unique settings, look, and feel.
