Overall Satisfaction with Canvas
We use Canvas as our global LMS solution. Specifically for online courses, but our face to face and broadcast courses use Canvas as a content repository.
- Organizing Content in Modules
- SpeedGrader feature for grading and student feedback
- Allows for course level and global customization
- The Gradebook needs improvement
- Ability to edit css for mobile
- Quiz feature needs to have more options for question types, alternative questions, and extra credit questions
- Students enjoy having syllabus and other course files online.
- Students really like the ability to check grades online in higher ed.
- Students like using the Canvas messaging system to stay in contact with instructors.
- Blackboard and Moodle
Canvas is a new age LMS. It allows teachers and instructional designers to scaffold and plan their courses in many different ways incorporating custom styling option and LTI integrations that I was never able to use in Blackboard or Moodle.
