Overall Satisfaction with Carbonite DoubleTake
I work for the Australian distributor of DoubleTake. We sell the product to our partners and provide 1st and 2nd level support in ANZ. We also use DoubleTake as a migration tool to migrate customers' workloads to the cloud.
- It migrates Windows servers well
- It is easy to use
- It has a great RPO
- DoubleTake is more expensive than competing products
- DoubleTake is more manual than competing products
- Being agent-based at source can cause concern for customers migrating hundreds of servers
- It has helped us to service our customers
- It has helped us provide tools for re-sellers
- It has allowed our customers to keep their critical apps running in the event of a disaster
- Zerto Virtual Replication and Veeam Backup & Replication
It is better for critical apps than Veeam due to the lower RPO. Veeam is favoured by some customers due to it's attractive price point.
Zerto is a very strong product and is innovating continuously. I don't see so much of this from DoubleTake.
