Overall Satisfaction with Causeview
Causeview is being used by our fundraising department. We use it as an application within Salesforce.com that turns Salesforce into software for nonprofit donor management. We also use Causeview to host our donate pages.
Causeview is designed to turn Salesforce.com from a for-profit tool into a nonprofit tool by rearranging and renaming fields and objects within Salesforce and also creating new objects, fields, and workflows.

Pros
- Causeview's support team is mostly helpful and quick to respond.
- Causeview integrates event registrations within Salesforce.
Cons
- Causeview does not efficiently store data, which makes reporting difficult. They use three objects to store donation data, when one would suffice.
- Causeview charges per user, which makes it expensive for larger companies with many users.
- Negative: expensive per-license fee with no discount for added users.
- Negative: unreliable servers that host donate pages.
Causeview does not stack up well against its competitors, and my organization regrets its decision to purchase Causeview.
Salesforce.com's Nonprofit Success Pack is a much better donor management tool. It comes with 10 free licenses (Causeview offers zero free licenses), uses a smart data model that integrates with all apps, and has a better interface and easier-to-use reporting tools.
