Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

We use Ceridian Dayforce for all HR and payroll functions. We have implemented almost all modules with the exception of Recruiting and Document Management but we are in the process for both. Managers are using it to approve time, time away from work and shift trades. As well as submiting position change forms and compensation change requests. Employees use all features available to them including scheduling, time away, benefits, pay information.
  • Onboarding. This is a much more cohesive process for us that before using Dayforce. We were 100% paper and it took a lot of time and energy to administer the forms properly for all new hires. Onboarding puts the forms and other information all in one place.
  • Performance Management. We just launched this module but it will revolutionize the way we conduct performance reviews. Again we were 100% paper and moving to a focal cycle with no paper will greatly streamline our process.
  • Schedules. We used Excel spreadsheets to prep out the schedules each week. This is no longer needed. Saves tons of time.
  • I think reporting could be easier. It is sometimes difficult to find the fields I want to include in a custom report.
  • Form builders. I don't know how to code XML and this is absolutely necessary to build your own forms and not have to reach out to Support. A little frustrating.
  • We have been live for approximately 4 months. We are seeing increased employee engagement - not enough time to fully understand turnover impact.
  • A lot less paper use. One staff member would spend many hours a day preparing paperwork for HR position, salary, status changes. She is now able to complete other tasks that were sidelined.
We anticipate that the PPACA feature will be of great impact when it is live. We track average hours though a series of Excel spreadsheets. Each persons weekly hours are input manually to keep the sheet up to date. This will be a great time savings and aid in timely compliance.
We have found that the centralization of information has been very helpful in many ways.
Our previous vendor was using two programs that connected a specific times to align data. Not all data flowed from one to the other and vice versa.
Dayforce is really well suited for hourly staff. The scheduling, time away, and shift trading options were big selling points for us. Bonus points for those features being available through the mobile app. At least 50% of staff are millennials, highly tech connected - so mobile capabilities are absolutely necessary.
