Overall Satisfaction with Dayforce

Ceridian Dayforce HCM helps our origination across the board from hiring, timeclocks to manage time and schedules, and a fantastic payroll product. I came from another HCM model and it doesn't come close to comparing to abilities of this system. Although Dayforce support is not the greatest and its really hard to get a tax issue resolved.

Pros

  • Timeclock is easy to use for all of our employees, easy to punch in, easy to correct when something goes wrong or there is a missed punch.
  • Love how everything is integrated.
  • Everything is in real time so you know exactly what the end result will be before you even commit the pay run. No guessing involved.
  • System is easy to use for everyone.

Cons

  • Dayforce support is not there. You really need a 3rd party to fix issues.
  • Sometimes the system is slow depending on which browser you are in.
  • We recently had an issue with employees punching in from their phones, not seeing it right away on the computer and punching in again which created duplicate punches.
  • Timeclocks we purchased will be obsolete next year.
  • Reduced paper waste.
  • Increased productivity due to real-time reports.
  • Time-savings due to everything being integrated. Just a few clicks and the payroll is updated to include the info from time clocks.
I have used other providers in the past which integrated 3rd parties for different applications. It was a hassle keeping up with everything. I was blown away with Ceridian Dayforce and still can't believe how seamlessly it all works together.

Any business would blossom with this product, but it may be too much for a smaller employee count company. However, we have approximately 900 employees and it really meets our needs. It does everything you can imagine and then some! I would recommend that you make sure you use a capable partner in both implementation and ongoing for support.
