Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
We use it for payroll, benefits and HR onboarding for our new hires. It’s a great system that we’re able to use for multiple functions across the organization.
- Multiple business functions
- Easy to run off cycles to pay employees as soon as possible if any pay errors occur.
- Stores a lot of information
- System bugs need to be fixed, for example, sometimes certain forms in the onboarding don’t work.
- Better formatting for reports, being able to run reports for all data such as PTO balances.
- Less paper being used, ie: no paper payslips.
- Employees have more control over their personal info, they can make changes and updates themselves.
- Interfaces created with timesheets, HR data.
Tax tables are set up and updated at the start of every year. Overtime rules are set up and in place for provinces in Canada as the rules vary and the same goes for the US states. Also, Dayforce sends emails frequently about any changes to payroll or HR legislation so they do a good job keeping their clients in the loop about stuff like this.
It helps save us time because the employee information is all there and it stores a lot of the information and you can instantly check someone’s pay without having to take time to run a payroll preview. Timesheet information is all there as well, whether it’s entered directly in Dayforce or being imported from another system, you can see the daily breakdown of the hours and make any necessary edits/changes to the information.
Makes it easier to keep track of all the information when it’s stored in one system as opposed to using multiple systems to look for all the information which can make things complicated. It makes you less reliant on other people when you can look for the information yourself and have access to the information just like everyone else
