Overall Satisfaction with Checkout.com

If our customers want to pay for our services by credit card, Checkout.com handles these payments so that we don’t have to implement the strict requirements that credit card issuers put on sellers.

  • Checkout.com was cheaper than our previous payment provider
  • Before Checkout.com cancelled our contract, we planed to accept payments in non-€ currencies, which Checkout.com supports, while our previous payment provider doesn’t

Out of the blue Checkout.com cancelled our contract with two months' notice. No reason was given except that their service was not suitable to us. That means we have to find a new payment provider, go through the contractual hassle, and implement their API within two months. If we hadn’t already had another payment provider from earlier, that could have been deadly. A contractual partner that unreliable is only for people who enjoy playing Russian Roulette.
