Overall Satisfaction with Checkout.com
Checkout.com helps me to verify a customer who wants to use a card to fund their brokerage/investing account, and automatically settles the proceeds with a US based custodian of funds.
Pros
- 3DS Auth process
- Timely settlement to an overseas merchant
- Highly Stable API and Good Documentation for Implementation
Cons
- The reporting around fees charged
- The inability to get fees for a particular transaction till 10-15 minutes after it has happened. We cannot show the exact fees to our customer.
- The excel report of the checkout.com fees is rather crazy and has two different lines for certain fees as well as too many columns. There must be a simpler excel breakdown possible for those who don't want all the details.
- A positive impact of no-complaints on client experience when executing a deposit transaction when it involves a charge to their card
Checkout.com is by far a superior product offering a lot more granular control over the client experience.
