Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches

After-sales service and ease of protocol configuration make Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches the best choice. It is easy to configure, upgrade, and deploy without the use of any automation. For the most part, we use Cisco’s Catalyst 9300 switch series. Each of these switches connects a larger core switch 9500 to a smaller access switch 9200L. They’re also used as distribution switches on the major site and in remote factories for routing. Interconnecting small access switches like the 9200L with large core switches like the 9300L serves as an interface. Cisco support is available for any help we may require, which is fantastic. These access switches from Cisco let us connect to both the cloud and our on-premises networks with ease. It’s safe, smart, and easy to use.
  • Stable and easy-to-use connections both outside and inside the refinery.
  • Unlike previous switches, it can withstand extreme heat or cold and perform extremely well.
  • It is simple and swift to assign different VLANs to different ports, as well as to create VLCs to keep things redundant.
  • Some uplinks from ports give us problems, and light indicators aren't very helpful. Also, stacking them can be a pain sometimes.
  • Using standard three-way power cables and DNS servers, automation and a complete set of analytics are both possible.
  • Licenses can throw off the initial investment budget if there are no unneeded DNA license requirements. Hardware is also reasonably priced.
  • Stability, uptime, and the way Catalyst implements VLANs are straightforward, which I appreciate.
  • Depending on the cabling requirements of the devices, different modules can connect them. Modules for the Catalyst 9300 series switches offer impressive flexibility.
  • This is priceless because it makes setup and operation so simple. It works with the DNA center for automation and dependability.
Our company has used the basic features of the Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series [Switches], but we'd like to learn more about them and expand their capabilities. For the Analytics component, only one controller is required. The Catalyst 9300's advanced features necessitate the use of a DNA server controller, which is time-consuming to set up. Because Layer 2 switches are mostly used to handle very small traffic volumes, they have a low return. The switches were chosen to allow for future expansion, although automation is still at its outset.
We haven't made any changes to the switches, but we will be using DNA Center's new management tools. For the time being, we're still using the basic functionality, but we're excited about the newer, more advanced features that are on the way. To automate and control switches, we used DNA servers in explanation environments.
Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series [Switches] features top-of-the-line hardware and operating systems (OS). Compared to the other competitors, its features are far superior. There have been no problems with our older Catalyst Switches in years. Cisco was the vendor of choice for our network upgrade. Even though the 2900 series switches might have been a better fit, we went with the DNA claws model because of its smaller size and lower price.

Would you buy Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches again?

Yes

One of the best switch series available today from Cisco is the Catalyst 9300 Series [Switches]. They work as well as other Cisco enterprise products and are just as dependable. It's difficult to just turn these things on and forget about them with the new licensing model. After inserting the smart-licensing token into the switch, one of two options must be granted: internet access or no internet access. We will have to purchase three years of auto-renewing DNA licensing and licensing is a costly venture. Nonetheless, I have yet to encounter anything that I do not enjoy. Since the deployments, we've had a period of trouble-free operation.
