- Catalyst 2960 X/XR Series
We use Cisco Catalyst 2960X switches to support our network, and power internal communications, including WiFi access points and IP telephones.
- Provide PoE to power devices
- Allow managing many network segments
- Segregate and prioritize services
- Cloud based management
- Redundancy
- Better Integration with other vendors
- They TBF is very low, allowing us to concentrate on management and not on RMAs.
- They support most legacy and new devices so we don’t have to think about spending more on new devices or replacing old but operational ones.
- Management is not too complex so not much training is required to support them.
Yes, we have used these capabilities in ways we can keep cost and downtime controlled. Sometimes with little effort and other times with additional help. Most times we were able to get things done fast and cheaply.
We selected Cisco Catalyst over Aruba 2930 switches because they provided the best support and compatibility with our existing network configuration.
