Cisco Security

Security is paramount to our business as it protects the crown jewels of the business. Out of all the security requirements identity protection is the key as a main componenet of Zero Trust initiative. In addition to that we are obliged to keep customer data safe which eventually increase the trsutworthyness of the business.
Cisco security portfolio was comprehensive where one vendor could address majority of the security requirements. In addition to that below were the highlights:
1. Integration with Cisco and non Cisco applications.
2. Reputation of not been compromised recently compared to other players in the market.
3. Global support team available for product enhancements or additional technical support.
Nothing that I can think of
It has been used by our business for more than 10 years and hasnt failed at any instance. There have been zero to non security compromises on the Cisco ISE product. In addition to the above below are some high lights
1. Integration with Cisco and Non Cisco Hardware
2. Provides Azure intergartion and SAML
AI is paramount for cybersecurity as the hackers utilise AI tools for attacking. Therefore the protectors need to be equiped with AI based tools for quicker detection and protection

Resilience and Reliability

Resilience is key in cyber security as the products which provides cyber security cannot fail at any give time
Implement continous governance and management capability. Also continious looking for any gaps and improvement.
AT the moment there is no comparable product with the same set of capabilities
Planning of the policies has to be given good thought to avoid ccomplex polices down the line
The built in availability options provide 99.99 or higher availability
It si on the most easiest GUI for the engineers. Proper training is required to configure the relevant options.

Integration with other systems such as Palo Alto firewalls and two factor authentication systems were key. Also Cisco ISE could run on Azure was a key to support the cloud first approach.
