Cisco Meraki MX Security Appliances solve the business problems of property protecting business networks, data and internet traffic. Moreover, by adding on the Advanced Security License to the Cisco Meraki MX Security Appliance, you get active IPS protection that is easy to manage and powerful protection.

- Industry-leading security protection.
- Great support when needed.
- Great performance and uptime.
- Price can be out of the range for some small businesses.
- An active license needs to be renewed and active at all times.
- Support response for low-level tickets can be long at times.
- Enabled my business to become HIPAA Compliant because of the IPS (Advanced Security License) coverage.
- Having to renew the license every year can be costly for IT budgets for very small companies.
- Support is always available, 24/7 when needed.
I have evaluated and supported firewalls from MicroTik, Ubiquiti Networks, and SonicWall. The Cisco Meraki MX Security Appliance is a more well rounded and complete product compared to firewalls from these other vendors. The easy of configuration and the feature set of the Cisco Meraki MX is much more advanced than these other products.
