Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki SD-WAN
Cisco Meraki SD-WAN has been pivotal in quickly linking all of our remote sites together, we no longer have to order expensive MPLS or wait months on end for the install to happen. For us it's easily manageable and gives us a simple to use interface for the important metrics. Licensing and hardware is fairly inexpensive for the functionality we're getting.
Pros
- Simplicity
- Ease of rollout
- Minimal upskilling needed for staff
Cons
- Relay WoL packets for remote device management
- Might be slightly more expensive on the front end, but it's ease of use makes up for this over time
I can ask anyone on my team to make a change and be confident that they'll be able to work out what needs to be done pretty quickly (if it's not something they've done before). Rolling out new devices is also super easy, copy an existing site to get 90% of what you need to get going too.
Simple management interface to manage everything.
I have not evaluated any other competitors' products lately, so I can't give a good (recent) comparison.
