Cisco Umbrella

Cisco Umbrella helps act as a proxy to filter malicious domains and URLs, all the while providing DDoS protection and an extra layer of security, so that Cisco Umbrella is making the internet queries on behalf of our company. Umbrella also provides forensics so we can trace any malicious attacks.

Some organizational challenges we faced was security. We implemented split tunnel on anyconnect vpn so users could be exposed to malicious domains or urls when using a public network connections. Our security perimeter was no longer the internet link of or company but also now all the internet links of all the remote workers. Cisco Umbrella helped secure everyone of those telework internet link domains and urls.

My coworkers enjoy teleworking but management is concerned with new security concerns that come from working from home and security all employee workstations. Umbrella and anyconnect have provided security measures to protect from public networks. Our management has also increased security and safety meetings to train our staff how to protect themselves from bad actors.

Cisco hybrid work solutions include anyconnect vpn, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco firewalls, Cisco ISE, all of which support our engineers' operational needs and also provide an extra layer of security to protect against teleworking threats. These solutions also provided accountability to track which engineer did changes on the network and also provided different access levels to different systems.
