Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Currently, it is used within the sales group of the department servicing enterprise and government customers. it allows for collaborative meetings on the go and with external customers (as well as internal).

Interoperability with external and third-party systems over SIP
Can run in browser

Feature consistency across client programs, i.e. Teams versus Webex Meetings desktop versus Webex Meetings mobile, etc.

Return on Investment

Allowed for continuity of business and customer meetings during work from home due to COVID-19

Alternatives Considered

I have used Microsoft Teams also. Webex is better for holding external meetings.

Reliability and Availability

I haven't had many issues at all with Webex Meetings' availability.

Scalability

We're all cloud and don't need to worry about scalability.

Cisco Webex Meetings is well suited to meetings between two different organizations that may have different video conferencing solutions in place, as you can use SIP between the two different systems, or if you want to utilize room-based meetings with dedicated video conference hardware such as telepresence.
