Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Meetings

Webex Meetings is used across my entire organization. Because the entire organization uses it, it makes it very easy to set up meetings, confirm attendance, share screens, and complete conference calls. The entire organization understands the etiquette of using Webex, and its functionality is very easy to catch on to. Webex Meetings addresses the business problems of inconvenient meeting tactics, making for less time needed to travel or set up conference call numbers, and more time to have discussions and get work done.
  • Ease of use. Webex Meetings has a very simple, clear layout that nearly any user can understand and operate.
  • Reliability. I have had less than a handful of occurrences where Webex malfunctioned, and should malfunction ever happen, troubleshooting is easy.
  • Functionality. From screen sharing, to screen recording, to video-chatting, to white-boarding, to sharing notes, to instant messaging, Webex covers it all.
  • Inter-application integration. It is very convenient to have Webex Meetings work directly within Outlook; it saves me immense amounts of time when doing my job.
  • Preset settings. Depending on your setup, Webex Meetings may open your camera as you join meetings, among other annoying things that you can't change the settings on.
  • Low ability to customize. What you see is what you get, as far as formatting and display.
  • Webex Meetings increases our efficiency in an immeasurable way. As a national/international company, our audit department would almost not function without it.
  • The benefits of Webex Meetings well outweighs the cost.
Webex Meetings is best suited for scenarios that often require meeting across many geographic locations. It is also better suited for settings where meetings have to be taken a step further beyond conference calls; sharing screens, documents, and notes are great features of Webex Meetings that regular conference calling can't provide.

Cisco Webex Experience

Cisco Webex Meetings is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive. In my experience, I have nearly no connection or audio clarity issues, making for effective and efficient meetings without having to take time to troubleshoot. The personalization abilities allow me to format my screen most effectively for my viewing, particularly with viewing screensharing and viewing participant lists. I have not used the real-time transcriptions or note taking features as I was unaware that they were available, but would be open to using them as opposed to being required to use multiple applications at once during meetings.
Our organization uses the Cisco Webex Meetings application and Cisco Jabber. Aside from launching and hosting meetings, the Webex Meetings Application also syncs with your Outlook calendar and centralizes all of your Webex meetings into a chronologically organized schedule, and allows for desktop notifications prior to and at the time of your scheduled meetings. Cisco Jabber allows for instant meeting setup and calling with other Jabber contacts, so the two applications work together seamlessly. It is very convenient to "Meet Now" through Jabber and have all of the advantages of a Webex meeting (screensharing, whiteboard, etc.) without having to go through the entire setup/scheduling process in Outlook.
The host settings are automatically saved from prior meetings you have set up unless you wish to change them, which is very convenient. We never have to mess with sharing passwords prior to meetings, as the integration between Outlook and the Cisco Webex Meetings application identifies meeting attendees through their Cisco credentials. Webex has always been a secure application for my purposes, while still being flexible enough to add participants after meetings have already started.
