Overall Satisfaction with CloudBerry Backup
My company uses it to back up client files on a daily basis. It helps us restore files when they are deleted. We are able to quickly set up a backup and monitor it as it runs overnight. We are able to protect company files and assist our clients in case they are ever crypto locked or have bad hardware.
Pros
- It's easy to set up.
- The file restore process is simple.
- Lots of variety in backup stores.
Cons
- The errors are hard to decipher.
- I have had to contact CloudBerry multiple times for assistance.
- Updating the appliance multiple times due to performance issues.
- It has a fast restore process for our employees.
- Downtime on occasion due to unknown errors that require support.
- Searching for errors on backups leaves you with this huge laundry list of issues. It's hard to troubleshoot.
Unitrends has an easier management console. You can generate all kinds of reports. CloudBerry is easy to set up, but Unitrends is even easier. You don't have to wait for an installer with Unitrends if you decide to build a custom installer. It's just there to download. You can also create particular jobs once you have the application installed on the server. The error reports in Unitrends are also easier to read, cipher, and resolve.
