Easy to use, good features
Overall Satisfaction with Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare for client websites utilising their name server service and enhanced security features (Web Application firewall) and caching / Content Delivery network. Transferring DNS from other suppliers with a robust and easy-to-use auto-scan feature is effortless. This is especially useful when migrating from legacy providers who cannot provide a zone file export. We also like their enhanced security features and to an extent CDN and page caching.
Pros
- Managed DNS
- DNS record import
- Redundant network
Cons
- CDN and caching can be confusing to set up
- To get the best from them you need to use their nameservers
- At times support on their Business plan can be "here is an article" rather than asking a question. I would expect this on their free tier but not paid tiers.
- Reduces stress
- Reduces time required / cost
- Good UX
We didn't need any onboarding support, it was easy to get started, and the system is a pleasure to use.
