Overall Satisfaction with CMiC Construction Platform

CMiC is currently being used across our organization including accounting, project controls, and field management.
  • Invoice workflow.
  • Creating and tracking potential change items and change orders.
  • Labor forecasting and labor profit calculations.
  • RFIs, submittals, and submittal log.
  • User interface seems outdated, way too many options/unused areas.
  • Lack of photo management.
  • General speed of online platform is incredibly slow.
  • Improved accuracy of company wide cost forecasting.
  • Had to spend a lot of employee time in training and updates, more than would be expected.
  • Worsened company wide alignment on the process of submittals and RFIs.
Procore had a much better user interface, required much less training, allowed better subcontractor and designer collaboration, included drawing management, and had a much better punch-list function. However, it required outside software and spreadsheets to manage financials.
Certain aspects of the software are 90% of the way to where we need them to be but it seems we haven't received the support to resolve problems.

Do you think CMiC Construction Platform delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with CMiC Construction Platform's feature set?

No

Did CMiC Construction Platform live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of CMiC Construction Platform go as expected?

No

Would you buy CMiC Construction Platform again?

No

From my understanding, CMiC has helped to consolidate information all into one place for our accounting department. Creating and tracking changes through potential change items is nuanced, but once it is learned correctly it is effective. The invoice workflow portion is effective. However, it seems to be poorly suited for field management. The RFI and submittal tool is difficult to use and ineffective.
