Overall Satisfaction with Concur Travel and Expense
Concur Travel and Expense is used across our entire organization for for creating, approving, and reimbursing business expenses and booking travel. Doing all of our expenses through Concur allows us to keep tabs on the state of our budgets. It also normalizes the way people book travel, and ensures they are using our preferred vendors.
Pros
- It is extremely easy to book everything you need for a trip in one place, and ensure you don't forget any important aspects.
- Logging expenses allows us to keep track of what budgets we're dipping into, and track how much is being spent per employee in each category.
- The approvals process is quick and easy.
Cons
- Creating expense reports for reimbursement can be pretty tedious.
- The application, though powerful, is pretty clunky and dated overall and not the easiest to use.
- I wasn't involved in purchasing Concur so I can't really speak to whether the price is worth the feature set.
I wasn't involved in previewing or purchasing Concur or it's competing products.
I am not familiar with any of the integrations that we are using.
Concur Travel and Expense makes booking travel and logging, approving, and reimbursing expenses insanely easy. The app can be a little overwhelming to use at first, but once you've familiarized yourself with the interface and workflows it's easy to use. One nice thing is that anyone in our organization can log in and make an expense report for reimbursement. At prior companies I've worked for we've had to send receipts to finance and it was a huge pain to get reimbursed for simple expenses. With Concur, I create the expense, my boss approves it, and within a couple [of] days I have been reimbursed.
Most of my experience is coming from a employee/manager perspective and I've been mostly pleased. Often times my team members will avoid making any business expenses that they need reimbursed for, because if you don't use Concur often, it can be a pain to figure out the process. When I first started using Concur, I remember being overwhelmed and confused about the process for submitting and expense for reimbursement. However, once you've done it a couple times, it isn't a hard process to remember and the benefit is the tracking and approvals [becomes] extremely easy to manage.
