Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight

We use it in our technology and analytics departments to understand keyword rankings and monthly search volumes. Then we consult with our content team and web developers to optimize our website where we can and track any lift we get out of those changes.

Pros

  • The platform is slick and intuitive. Easy to use.
  • Very helpful in surfacing insights that are new and relevant.

Cons

  • Some monthly search volume data can be questionable. Tough to get this right since they're reliant on Google
  • There's a lot to digest. It takes some time to understand what every tool does.
  • Conductor's positive impact basically comes down to increased reporting and better feedback loops.
The guys who support our account at Conductor are great. Knowledgeable, quick to respond, and passionate about helping.
Conductor is great for companies aimed at increasing organic search traffic. Social has become more and more relevant, but search is still arguably the most powerful. And Conductor helps companies frame their strategy right by thinking about content marketing and serving the user, rather than just SEO and call-to-actions.

Using Conductor Searchlight

InsightStream is pretty cool in that it translates the data into relevant takeaways. A lot of it isn't actionable or relevant, but if you can get one or two key learnings, then it's worth it.
