Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a digital agency that is using Conductor on behalf of our clients to help manage their organic search campaign. The platform helps to streamline our daily campaign management and provides insights that would not be available if we were managing the campaigns manually.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Visibility explorer - being able to view the rankings of our clients on a weekly basis is very helpful
Content insights - being able to correlate high traffic and engaging content with the keywords that drive that engagement and traffic is highly valuable
Domain Explorer - we are able to get keywords and high ranking content from any competitor

Cons

Time frames could be more flexible. For example in audience search engagement, you can view keyword data by week, but there is no way to look at a monthly range or all cumulative activity. There may be some valuable keyword data that is hard to identify when there is only a week of data.
I would love to see more customization in terms of how data is viewed and how it can be pulled into the workspaces.
Have a better way to view a keyword ranking across different devices and different locations so it could be viewed in one report.

Return on Investment

I've seen anywhere from a 10% to a 200% in year over year performance with using Conductor.
Conductor has allowed our team to be very efficient in managing clients' campaigns. A team of three is managing over 10,000 keywords.
Conductor has been very helpful with client prospecting and identifying client opportunity.

Support Rating

Online support is always very quick and responsive. The team is using that on a daily basis and everyone is super helpful. Our CSM is also great and she provides indepth insights and additional support when needed.

Alternatives Considered

BrightEdge and Moz

I've been using Conductor since 2011. We have used Moz in the past and vetted BrightEdge, but I find Conductor to be more intuitive and user-friendly.

Likelihood to Recommend

Conductor is very useful for ongoing reporting and SEO optimization work. It is less suited for conducting a full SEO audit. I know it can do some of that with deep crawl but we aren't using that functionality. Also, while it can tell you about content performance it can't identify what improvements would help make the content rank better.

Insight Stream has been a great addition to the product. It's easy to pull insights to send to clients on an ongoing basis. Workspaces while valuable would benefit from enhanced customization and flexibility

The fact that you've used Conductor since 2011 means you have seen an incredible evolution and also that you were a part of our early-stage growing pains. We owe our success to customers like you, who have challenged us to continuously improve. Regarding some of your feature enhancement requests, I recommend asking your CSM about the new FlexHub.
