Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management

Cvent Event Management is a robust platform with a lot of different options for event management of all kinds. My organization utilizes its services to support in-person conferences and webinars throughout the calendar year. There are many options for building out the registration, developing the event's website and sending event-related emails to invitees and registrants.
  • Complete histories of attendance and email traffic with all parties associated with events
  • WYSISYG Website and Email platforms that are easy to use for those not familiar with HTML
  • Stored libraries of assets like speaker information and registrations questions that can be utilized across multiple events
  • More streamlined user interface
  • More flexibility for users that have better familiarity with HTML
  • Less clunky design tools within the pre-made widgets used in the web interface

Cvent Event Management is the only product I have ever used for full event management purposes so I don't have much to compare to in that regard. In terms of a web and email content management service, it is fairly user-friendly, if a little limited in its flexibility. I do appreciate that once you've set up a registration site in Cvent Event Management, it is very easy to duplicate and create another, so that you don't have to start from scratch every time.

We regularly utilize Cvent Event Management for our larger in-person conferences and it is extremely well-suited for this purpose. For smaller events it can be a little bit more cumbersome as there are so many features that go unused and just kind of gum up the works when you're looking to put together a small event site very quickly. We have also been utilizing Cvent Event Management to manage nominations for an exclusive event that we host. This has been a bit of a square peg/round hole thing as it's not what Cvent Event Management was truly designed for. We've tried a couple of their products for this purpose and have been utilizing the Abstract Management product for this purpose. It's not wholly ideal and can be a little clunky for our uses, but it has been a relatively successful solution.
