Overall Satisfaction with D&B Hoovers

The main users of D&B Hoovers is the sales team, and we use(d) it mainly to obtain more information on the accounts we handled. It did actually make our life easier, specially when it came to updating most of the details we needed for SalesForce on account level information!

Pros

  • Detailed account information provided
  • Financial information
  • Assisting with Sales related tasks and lead gen
  • Integration with CRM platforms like Salesforce

Cons

  • Some of the data seems cluttered and the user interface is not optimal
  • Sometimes, for a newbie, it takes time to get used to navigating as it isn't much user friendly
  • In some instances, there is data missing specially for smaller organizations
  • Some search filtering options are limited
  • Assisted in reducing the time spent on research and collecting information
  • Assisted in updating the CRM with upto date financial and account information
  • Helped with the research
The main data we look for is company profiling, financial data and also growth and industry trends
Job titles, seniority, work history, location
D&B Hoovers is more cost effective, and acts as a comprehensive data source, which is specially beneficial to teams like sales, where research and prospecting and lead gen is key

It even helps when researching your competition, and/or similar organization in that industry
It also helps when running email campaigns for a particular industry

It would be less appropriate to be used if the company we are prospecting is really small with less than 50 employees
