Overall Satisfaction with DemandTools

We use Demandtools to upload and validate information in our Marketing and Sales Opps departments. It's mainly used to update the status on accounts and contacts, upload leads to campaigns, or mass delete contacts or accounts created by mistake.
  • Mass lead convert.
  • Updating account statuses.
  • Updating contact statuses.
  • Setup can be a little confusing for scenarios. It's a lot of moving parts.
  • PeopleImport can be clunky sometimes. If you mess up even 1 thing in one spreadsheet you have to start over reimport and do all your scenarios again. You might not know this until you're at the point of trying to upload.
  • Time saving adding leads and contacts.
  • Time saving changing accounts and reassigning in Salesforce.
If you need to upload more than a list of a dozen or so contacts or update more than a few dozen records it's appropriate. If you're unsure about the integrity of the data you're changing en masse it's less appropriate.
