Overall Satisfaction with DISCO
My associate in an internal investigation used it. Another team is also using it for a different investigation. It helps us organize and synthesize large volumes of documents efficiently.
Pros
- Extremely user-friendly. Easy to figure out how to work things.
- Very fast. Compared to other platforms, the delay is minimal.
- A clean, usable interface that makes it easy to read documents.
Cons
- Nothing I can think of at this time. The actual reviewers (since I'm supervising them) may have more specific feedback.
- Saved money and time on investigations
- Increased speed in starting an investigation because the initial setup time compares favorably to competitors
Easy search function - it's like using google. User-friendly - you don't have to sit through a training or comb through a user manual to get started (and for a partner, it's easy to find flagged documents). Fast - no delay.
It seems very affordable - I like the flat fees. I love that this makes things a bit more predictable for the client.
Compared to other platforms, there is minimal delay in loading documents, which is excellent, even with incredibly large documents. Other competitors' software will freeze when you have to load or view large excels - DISCO doesn't have that problem. Also, appreciate the quick response - our documents were loaded in a concise period of time.
We haven't used a ton of ancillary services, but so far I've been impressed with the customer service (namely, the responsiveness) of the DISCO support team. There's a lot of outreach, and even when we don't need the help, the employees are pretty good about checking in to gauge progress, usage, etc.
Speed is better. DISCO is more user-friendly. Generally, I prefer DISCO in terms of efficiency, and that's dramatically helpful in investigations. The one advantage Relativity has is that the major providers often use it. Our clients are comfortable with that software - so DISCO is still relatively unfamiliar to them.
