Overall Satisfaction with DonorPerfect
DonorPerfect is used by Volunteers in Medicine to track all incoming funds. Our donors and vendors are managed in one location.
- Reports are excellent, especially when you can effectively utilize filters.
- Works well with accounting software, email, and online donations.
- Easy to update.
- Custom reports are only available if you pay additional. I've managed a couple of workarounds, but need expanded capabilities to maximize usage included in my annual rates.
- I would prefer to see the new dashboard as my home page, as I nearly missed a deadline because I wasn't clicking to see the graphs and charts on a daily basis - but that's where Open Contacts are located now.
- Increased employee efficiency: accountant spends ten hours less per month working on reconciliations and tax statements, since that's generated by the software. Our accountant is actually a volunteer, so now the information needed is almost always at the fingertips of the employee who needs it on the spot.
- Previous administration tracked donations by spreadsheet, and the organization is funded entirely by donation. With a new director, it was impossible to tell her how donations were going, what was pledged, what to expect, how to forecast. Now, it is as easy as pulling up the dashboard - magic!
- New Director can access all donor information in a matter of seconds just by looking up the record.

I haven't used another product. I selected DonorPerfect while running a Capital Campaign in 2006, because it was the best product for what was needed.
