Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use Dropbox for storing and sharing group project files. It's very useful for being able to have a centralized place to store things like documents or folders of images for projects and then be able to share those folders with other team mates. Having central locations in Dropbox makes it easy to coordinate. The options to use a folder on my computer or the web app also adds convenience.

Pros

  • easy sharing
  • syncing files
  • synching folders

Cons

  • it takes up a lot of RAM
  • the folder organization in the web app/website is a bit annoying at times

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

It works really well for file sharing, especially things like folders of bulk files, like images for an eLearning course. Comparatively, its less useful for "live" file editing, like Google Docs or Sharepoint. It's still easy to share a file and work collaboratively, but the collaborative effort can't be done simultaneously on the same file.
