Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Large amounts of files and often large files being transferred. We share mostly audio files, but often video files as well and need a trustworthy and secure way to share files and receive files. Dropbox allows for link sharing, annotations and collaboration within the platform, and history/timeline of shared documents.

Usability

The interface is overall pretty simple to use. The file structure and folder structure and layout feels about like one would use in Windows Explorer or Finder on Apple products, so it is not hard for anyone to adapt to. The ability of those without accounts to engage in file sharing/upload/download is also very useful and makes it appealing.

Very useful for large uploads and file sharing. Also for sending links where others can upload easily to, even without a Dropbox account. Often the user interface though leaves much to be desired, and can be somewhat slow at times. Scenarios where things to be upload or download quickly are sometimes hindered by this.
