Overall Satisfaction with Druva inSync

We have had great success in setting up Druva inSync to use for backup of our Office 365 instances. I was happy this year when Microsoft Teams started to back up pretty quickly after it became very popular and needed in the organization. We have the whole stack of Office 365 using the product so we are covered if something happens to our environment.
  • Simple setup
  • Fast
  • Easy restores
  • Was hard to understand all the different products that are offered
  • Good part is you don't need to buy it all.
  • Maybe offer account checkups half-way into the year
  • Able to sleep better that we have some backups of out O365 items
  • Don't need to export copies of old employees and more.
  • Save time in getting back restored files as needed.
We looked at a few other offerings but really only need the Office 365 setup to start before we switch other items over to some of their other services. Salesforce seemed to take a long time, and we currently had another tool that we were very happy with. Did not test any of their DLP items for review since that does not happen all that often.
We have not turned on or invested in this part of the product. We do get alerts and warnings when something is not backing up or has been cleaned out because we are not using it anymore. Might need to review to see if we can get a better understanding of anything new that has come out.
So we are currently just using the built-in DLP and discovery tools from O365 for this. We did not need much more power than we already have with the tools out of the book with O365. It would be nice to have basic ransomware detection set up.
This was the best cost per person that we could find for just an O365 setup. We looked at what Datto and others, but a lot of them at the time did not have Teams included with the main backups yet.
They had a great turn around time on getting us up to speed with in the system. it was nice to take it for a test drive with a few test license goes to show how simple the setup is and they are in the system. The hardest part was the shared mailbox setup and that was because we need to clean up on our side

Yes

Did Druva Data Resiliency Cloud live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Druva Data Resiliency Cloud go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Druva Data Resiliency Cloud again?

Yes

The cost of Druva inSync was really good for us compared to other products in the space for Office 365. I enjoyed getting into the system to test it all out. It's simple to use with Azure Ad so you can set it up once and just double check you don't have any issues. Very simple for just monthly checkup and test restores.

COVID-19 Changes

We have not missed a beat using Druva throughout the massive change of times that we are currently all experiencing.
Not sure if I want to say too much to avoid getting some ransomware right after posting this, but we have not had anything major hit yet.
We have not used these tools because at the time it required a greater per seat cost and because we have only needed to run something once or twice a year.
