Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Access by Duo

Duo / Cisco Secure Access, by Duo is our primary solution for managed service clients, as well as, our internal organization. The platform allows for central management of the application, integration with other cloud services for authentication, user device policies, and push notifications. We needed increased security within our organization, and Duo / Cisco Secure Access, by Duo was precisely what we needed.

Let me clarify this rating. From the end-user perspective, Duo / Cisco Secure Access, by Duo should receive a rating of 10. The application is just as easy to use as any other authentication app the end-user may have previously used. From an administrator perspective, I would give Duo / Cisco Secure Access, by Duo a rating of 8. The product is feature loaded which means there is a lot of settings admins have to learn for a successful deployment.
We have never needed to contact the customer support team for issues with Duo / Cisco Secure Access, by Duo so I cannot give a proper rating. The reason is simple. For every issue we have encountered, we have found a knowledge base support article that shows how to resolve it. From that perspective, they ensure customers have access to great support articles without the need to call support.
During our initial deployment of the product, we had several questions. What are the granular policies and how do we deploy them? Duo / Cisco Secure Access, by Duo is already supported by several of our cloud-based application providers, how do we create the API connections? Without needing to create a single support ticket, we were able to find answers using Duo / Cisco Secure Access, by Duo's thorough knowledge base.
Duo / Cisco Secure Access, by Duo is not a free application and requires a user license, unlike other solutions such as Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. However, you do get what you pay for. Duo / Cisco Secure Access, by Duo provides great backups of stored tokens, central management, granular policies, and integrations with several cloud-based applications. The free applications lack the advanced features we desired for enhancing our security.

We focus on the nonprofit and small business sectors and have found that this solution has met every need on the checklist. Organizations that are concerned about security gain peace of mind with a centrally managed console that provides insight into user installations, as well as, granular policies that can prevent usage on vulnerable devices.
